The painting is finally done. It looks similar to the last post, but the lines are more clear, and there is no clay showing anymore. There may be a few more tweaks, but this is pretty much how the figure will look. Now I have to actually figure out when, where, and how to fire it.
It's so beautiful! Where did you get the idea for the pattern on her dress? I never would have thought of painting a pattern onto the cloth - it really adds a lot to the work. (KyoKyo just stepped on my keyboard to tell you that he agrees)
ReplyDeleteI made this piece from a photo that my client gave me, and that's where I got the pattern from. The pattern in the photo is actually a lot more complex and beautiful, but I simplified it and did the best that I could.
