I'm finally letting it dry out, but I'm really paranoid about it cracking. I have already seen one small crack in her stomach, which isn't surprising considering the hollow interior creates a difference in thickness around there. I smoothed the crack out and compressed the clay around it. Hopefully she will dry out without any serious cracking.
This sculpture is really cool! Its come a long way. It's really interesting getting to see the sculpture from such an early stage to its final form. I'm really impressed with all of the detail you put in the figure's clothing and hair. I hope it dries gracefully for you. Also I really like the marble stand; you should reuse it for all of your sculptures it's so beautiful!

A small recommendation if the baby cracks beyond repair? Reshape it into a face hugger with the woman trying to claw it off. Seriously, it should only be a slight adjustment.
